Brief: Road work to begin today

WORTHINGTON — Pavement work at 10th Avenue at the Tower Street intersection is tentatively scheduled to begin today, and 10th Avenue from Turner Street to Tower Street will be closed to through traffic.

A detour route of 10th Avenue utilizing Diagonal Road, Clary Street and Park Avenue will be signed. Tower Street from 10th Avenue to 11th Avenue will also be closed to through traffic.

Restricted local access on 10th Avenue and Tower Street will be available up to the intersection.

Weather permitting and construction proceeding as planned, 10th Avenue through traffic should be restored in about a week.
