Brief: 'Flower Power' winners named
The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, through the Community Improvement Committee, is sponsoring a “Flower Power — Yard of the Week.” This week’s recipients are Neil and Darlene Kempema, 421 W. Oxford St.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, through the Community Improvement Committee, is sponsoring a “Flower Power — Yard of the Week.” This week’s recipients are Neil and Darlene Kempema, 421 W. Oxford St.
The committee also picks two businesses per month to share in the honor of “Flower Power — Business of the Month.” The first recipient of August is Worthington Federal Savings Bank, 418 11th St.
Anyone is eligible to nominate a residence or a business as a candidate for the “Flower Power — Yard of the Week” or “Business of the Month” Awards. Nominations can be made by calling the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce office at 372-2919.
People who know of a landscape or garden project that has enhanced physical attractiveness of a property and believe it deserves consideration for an award are urged to make a nomination.
