Brief: Refresher driver courses offered
The Minnesota Highway Safety Center is offering four-hour refresher 55+ driver improvement courses: 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Worthington Country Club; and 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 21 at Kemna Asa Auto, Jackson.
WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota Highway Safety Center is offering four-hour refresher 55+ driver improvement courses: 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Worthington Country Club; and 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 21 at Kemna Asa Auto, Jackson.
A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center-certified instructor will teach the class. Driver Safety, confidence and comfort are enhanced through up-to-date research, including the latest visual scanning and steering techniques, anti-lock braking skills, airbag information, driver distraction, road rage and new vehicle technology.
People age 55 and older who complete the course quality for a 10-percent discount on auto insurance premiums for three years.
