Worthington rallies from two-goal deficit
PRINSBURG — Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Worthington boys’ soccer team made a late run in the second half and came away with a 3-2 victory against Central Minnesota Christian Friday.
PRINSBURG — Trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Worthington boys’ soccer team made a late run in the second half and came away with a 3-2 victory against Central Minnesota Christian Friday.
Worthington’s Joe Dickey scored two goals in the early going of the second half to tie the game, and Cody Reese provided the game-winner late in the contest.
Derik Verdoorn and the Trojan defense did not allow a goal in the second half.
Worthington (1-0) will travel to Mankato West Thursday.
