MOUNTAIN LAKE — Trailing two games to none, the Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin volleyball team came back in a big way against Ellsworth in a Red Rock Conference volleyball tilt Tuesday night.
The Panthers won the first two games, 25-23 and 25-17, and had a 2-0 lead, needing only one win to seal the match victory.
However, the Wolverines came back with three victories, 25-15, 25-22, 16-14, to win the match, 3-2.
Brittany Wenner had five service aces, nine kills and 15 digs to lead ML/B-O (1-4, 1-2). Megan Svalland had 17 kills and four solo blocks, while Kaitlin Feil had 21 set assists.
Chelsey Kraemer had 19 set assists, while Leesha Heltemes had three solo blocks.
For Ellsworth (1-6, 0-3) Molly Kramer had 13 set assists, while Andrea DeBoer had eight set assists.
Amanda DeBoer had nine kills, five service aces and 11 digs, while Brooke Kix had eight kills.
Courtney Dreesen had 13 digs and Becca Sieff had four blocks and eight service aces.
Ellsworth hosts Red Rock Central Thursday, while ML/B-O will travel to Murray County Central.
RRC 3, Adrian 2
JEFFERS — Abby Halter had 13 kills, two blocks, 15 digs and was 15-for-17 serving with two aces to lead Red Rock Central to a conference victory against Adrian Tuesday.
Game scores were 25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 19-25, 15-11.
Caitlyn DeCock had 11 kills and Alyssa Fredrickson had seven kills and three blocks for the Falcons (7-5, 3-0).
Krystle Sell was 22-for-23 serving with 14 points scored and four aces, and also had 15 set assists.
Cierra Nickel had 14 set assists and 11 digs, while Abby Furth had four service aces.
RRC will travel to Ellsworth Thursday, while Adrian will host Westbrook-Walnut Grove.
SWC 3, H-BC 0
EDGERTON — Kayla Broekhuis had 10 set assists and nine digs to lead Southwest Christian to a sweep of Hills-Beaver Creek Tuesday night in a Red Rock Conference volleyball match.
Game scores were 25-15, 25-14, 25-11.
Jada Vander Veen had 12 good serves with a pair of aces, while Angie Vermeer had nine kills and Brianna Spronk had five kills for SWC (7-3, 3-0).
For H-BC (0-7, 0-3), Kelsey McGuire had five kills and 12 digs, while Jessy Bos had five kills and 10 set assists. Natalie Stueven added five kills for the Patriots.
SWC will travel across town to face Edgerton Public Thursday, while H-BC will travel to Southwest Star Concept the same evening.
SSC 3, Fulda 0
OKABENA — Erika Post and Katey Granstra each had six kills to lead Southwest Star Concept to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-19) victory in a Red Rock Conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Granstra added two ace blocks, while Post had 19 digs for the Quasars (5-5, 3-0).
Luanna Henkels was 9-for-10 serving with three aces and had 20 set assists, while Jenna Leopold was 14-for-15 serving with a pair of aces.
For Fulda, Mari Holinka and Courtney Hulstein each had three kills, while Hulstein added 12 digs.
Brittany Hulstein was 9-for-10 serving with two aces, while Michelle Goedtke had seven set assists. Sheyenne Wildfeuer was 8-for-10 serving with three aces.
SSC will host Hills-Beaver Creek Thursday, while Fulda hosts Round Lake-Brewster.
W-WG 3, RL-B 0
ROUND LAKE — Taylor Elzenga had six kills and 11 digs to lead Westbrook-Walnut Grove past Round Lake-Brewster in a Red Rock Conference volleyball match Tuesday.
Audra Schmidt had 12 kills, while Alexis Quade added three kills for W-WG, which won 25-12, 25-18, 25-13.
For RL-B, Kim Wiese had six ace serves, while April Wallace had four and Ceilia Schmitz had two ace serves.
Chelsea Meyer had 16 digs, while Mara Eichenberger added 12.
Breanna Spartz had three blocks, and Roshay Reimer had 13 set assists for the Raiders, who will travel to Fulda Thursday. W-WG will travel to Adrian the same night.
