HARTLEY, Iowa — The VeraSun Energy plant west of Hartley is now operating at full capacity and has already produced 11 million gallons of ethanol in the past month.

The Hartley plant uses more than 110,000 bushels of corn a day, or more than 39 million bushels a year.
