Bemidji women report kidnapping

BEMIDJI – Two 19-year-old Bemidji women have reported that they were kidnapped Sunday.
According to the Bemidji Police Department, the women said that at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday they got into their car on the 700 block of 15th Street Northwest when a man who was hiding in the back seat of the vehicle threatened them with a knife.
Once they crossed onto the Red Lake Reservation, the man got out of the car and walked away, the press release said. The women were unharmed.
The Bemidji Police Department and the FBI are investigating the incident.
