Letter: Amendment deserves a no vote

A yes vote for the state constitutional amendment is a vote to raise taxes, not to clean up our water.
Our state waters are already protected and monitored by local watershed boards, county soil and water conservation districts, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the DNR. I personally have worked with every one of these agencies, and they are doing an excellent job of protecting our soil and water resources.
What the amendment is really about is special interest groups wanting your tax dollars to purchase property for their recreational activities.
Vote no on the clean water amendment to avoid an addition to sales taxes.
