Brief: Canadian Pacific buys O'Brien line
The Sioux Falls, S.D.-headquartered IC&E (Iowa, Chicago and Eastern) line, which runs through O’Brien County, Iowa, has been acquired by the Canadian Pacific Railway for $1.5 million.
SHELDON, Iowa — The Sioux Falls, S.D.-headquartered IC&E (Iowa, Chicago and Eastern) line, which runs through O’Brien County, Iowa, has been acquired by the Canadian Pacific Railway for $1.5 million.
The federal Surface Transportation Board has approved the merger, which will go into effect Oct. 30.
