Letter: Obama getting free pass from media

News organization including ABC, the Associated Press, The Washington Monthly, and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported that while Chris Hackett, a congressional candidate at a Palin rally in NE Pennsylvania, mentioned Obama’s name, a man in the audience shouted “kill him.” The origin of the story started with a reporter named David Singleton.

The Secret Service were also at that rally and take such comments seriously. The Secret Service said they did not hear that shouted at the rally. Bill Slavoski, Secret Service agent, said he never heard those words shouted out. The other secret service agents also said they never heart those words shouted at the rally. The Secret Service Agency conducted an investigation and could not find a single person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

One has to wonder about the media and their love affair with Obama. The media jumps all over the McCain Palin campaign, but largely ignore anything in the Obama Biden campaign. Many thought Reagan was the Teflon candidate; however, I think that title goes to Obama and the national media.
