At approximately 10:45 p.m. Monday night, the Cannon Falls Police Department was contacted that the missing child had been located.

It has been determined that this incident was not an abduction and that no foul play is suspected.

The child is safe at home and the Police Department is investigating the details of the incident.

Original Story

A 15-year-old Cannon Falls boy is believed missing.

Cannon Falls police are investigating the disappearance of Nick Hoffman, who was last seen around 11 p.m. Sunday at his home. He was discovered missing at about 6 a.m.

There did not appear to be forced entry made into the locked residence, police said. It is unclear whether Hoffman walked away, met someone or was picked up. Police said it did not appear Hoffman was dressed for winter weather, as none of his winter clothing was reported missing from the house. He apparently took a blanket and a pillow from his bed.

Hoffman's physical description:

--Age: 15

--Height: 5 feet, 10 inches

--Weight: 120-130 pounds

--Eyes: Brown

--Hair: Dishwater blonde/brown

--Braces on teeth

--Acne around nose

Anyone with information about Hoffman's disappearance should call Cannon Falls police at (507) 263-2278.
