Services: Karen Ackerman-Timmons

Karen L. Ackerman-Timmons, 68, of Melvin, Iowa, and Kerkhoven, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud.

Surviving are her husband, Marvin Timmons, Kerkhoven; three sons, Todd (Sue) Ackerman, Ocheyedan, Iowa, Troy (Jackie) Ackerman, Sheldon, and Stan (Aggie) Ackerman, Hatfield; two daughters, Becky (David) Heitritter, Melvin; two step-sons, John (Jorene) Timmons, Kerkhoven, and David (Sue) Timmons, Kerkhoven; three step-daughters, Jean (Chuck) Rustad, Kerkhoven, Barb Larson, Bakersfield, Calif., and Linda (Terry) McKinzie, Plymouth; one brother, Gary (Karen) Jurgensen, Round Lake; 12 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home, Sibley.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at American Lutheran Church, Melvin, with the Rev. David Finley officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Harris, Iowa.
