BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: MCW wins Windom tournament
WINDOM — Leading 26-24 at halftime, the Windom boys’ basketball team was outscored 36-23 in the final half and suffered a 60-49 loss to Martin County West in the championship of the Windom Chamber of Commerce Holiday Classic Tuesday night.

Jake Holt scored 14 points and had 13 rebounds to lead the Eagles (2-3), while Lee Holt added 12 points. Travis Mattson scored 12 points and had four assists for Windom, which shot 44 percent (19 for 43) from the field.
Geoff Krumwiede led MCW with 21 points.
Windom will travel to Redwood Valley Saturday.

Third-place game Fulda 59, A-C 43
WINDOM — Fulda’s Alex Hein scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Raiders to a 16-point victory to claim third place Tuesday.
Devin Kuehne scored 11 points for Fulda, which had a 27-22 lead at halftime.
Travis Marth scored 12 points for Alden-Conger.

ML/B-O Holiday Tournament Championship game CM/C 76, ML/B-O 46
MOUNTAIN LAKE — Three players scored in double figures to lead Cedar Mountain/Comfrey to a victory in the championship game of the Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin Holiday Tournament.
Tyler Pendleton scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Cougars, while Dalton Kleinschmidt and Nate Golden each scored 12 points.
Steven Herrig scored 13 points to lead ML/B-O (2-4), while Beau Herrig added 13 points and six rebounds.
ML/B-O will travel to Westbrook-Walnut Grove Tuesday.

Third-place game RL-B 61, Truman 42
MOUNTAIN LAKE — Dillon Hansen had his best game of the season Monday in the third-place game against Truman.
The senior center scored 21 points and had 24 rebounds to lead the Raiders. Jeremy Nelson added 10 points in the victory.
For Truman, Preston Rode scored 11 points and had five rebounds, while Taylor Fast had 10 points.
RL-B will host Edgerton Tuesday.

BLUE EARTH — The Huskies seemed to have had the game wrapped up at the end of halftime, but Blue Earth Area came back to make the game interesting. In the end, Jackson County Central came out with a three-point victory.
Nathan Brandt dominated the court for the Huskies, scoring 18 points, adding seven rebounds and four steals. Pat Garvin added 12 points, eight rebounds, and had six assists.
Nick Lee scored 17 points for BEA, while Riley Holmseth contributed nine points.
The Huskies currently stand at 3-3 overall and will travel to face the Windom Area Eagles on Tuesday night.

WABASSO — With an eight-point victory, the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Panthers won the Wabasso tournament for the first time since 1998.
Walker Schaar, who was named to the all-tournament team, led the Panthers (5-1) with 12 points, while Brandon Kirk, another all-tournament team member, had 11 points and three assists.
Dominic Dolan scored nine points and had three assists and three steals, while Aaron Frisvold (all-tournament team member) had 12 rebounds.
T-M-B will host Kirkhoven-Murdock-Sunberg Friday.
