Obituary: Mavis Jurrens

Mavis Jurrens, 64, of Little Rock, Iowa, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Heart Hospital of South Dakota, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Surviving are her husband, Fred; two daughters, Shelley (Scott) Klooster, Adrian, and Sonya (John Gilgen) Jurrens, Little Rock; three sons, Shane (Tracy) Jurrens, Shaun Jurrens and Seth Jurrens, all of Little Rock; three sisters, JoAnn (Richard) Kruger and Gloria Jean (Lynn) Wills, all of Sibley, Iowa, and Susie (Harry Jr.) Wiertzema, Little Rock; one brother, LeRoy (Phyllis) Buss, Little Rock; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Jurrens Funeral Home, George, Iowa.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Salem Reformed Church, Little Rock, with the Rev. Brian Hellenga officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Little Rock.
