Three snowmobiles break though ice

Three snowmobiles broke through the ice on the east side of Lake Bemidji near the Mississippi River outlet at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a report from the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

Three snowmobiles broke through the ice on the east side of Lake Bemidji near the Mississippi River outlet at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a report from the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

The three drivers of the snowmobiles – Darwin Brewer, 50, of Minneapolis; Erik Asher, 41, of Shakopee, Minn.; and Adrian Wagner, 36, of Eagan, Minn. – were not injured and were located at a nearby residence, according to the report.

The snowmobiles were removed from the lake on Sunday, according to the report.
