Name released in fatal rollover

WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the 29-year-old Mankato man killed Wednesday night in a fatal rollover accident near mile marker 22 in Jackson County.

WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the 29-year-old Mankato man killed Wednesday night in a fatal rollover accident near mile marker 22 in Jackson County.
Gatbel Koch had to be extricated from the passenger seat of a 2000 Dodge Durango and was pronounced dead at Sanford Regional Hospital Worthington.
The report states Thok Hosnyang, 37, of Mankato was driving the Durango eastbound on Minnesota 60 at approximately 10:30 p.m. when it skidded off the road into the median and rolled. The vehicle came to rest upside down in the center of the westbound lanes, and was hit by a 2001 Toyota Tundra, Driven by David Kleinsasser, 25, of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Hosnyang, who suffered head and spine injuries, also had to be extricated from the vehicle and was airlifted from Sanford Re-gional Hospital Worthington to McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Kleinsasser and his passenger, Jolene Decker, 24, of Sioux Falls, suffered no apparent injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Brewster Rescue.
Icy road conditions caused several accidents throughout the evening and into the morning hours. Shortly after 9 p.m., Ochan Omol, 34, of Worthington, rolled a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. Omol was on Minnesota 60 east of Worthington when the vehicle went off the road and into the median, overturning and coming to rest on its top. Injuries were considered minor and included cuts on his hand and head.
Around 9:30 p.m., another rollover west of Adrian on I-90 caused minor injuries when Carissa Franken-Saar, 27, of Luverne, lost control of her 2002 Jeep Liberty after sliding on black ice. The vehicle entered the median and rolled.
At approximately 2:20 a.m. Thursday morning, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office assisted at a rollover one mile east of Beaver Creek on I-90 that resulted in non-serious injuries. Dawn Peterson, 32, of Sioux Falls, was travelling west in a 2002 Kia Sedona when she lost control of the vehicle after skidding on black ice. The vehicle went into the median and rolled.
Road conditions were still icy by 10:44 a.m., when the driver of a 2001 Ford Explorer lost control on I-90 near Luverne and rolled into the median. Driver Diane Lange, 58, of Sanborn, was treated and released from Sanborn Hospital Luverne. Her husband Cleon Lange, 59, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transferred by air ambulance to Sanford, Sioux Falls.
At 10:50 a.m. another rollover call came into dispatch. This time, a 2006 Ford pickup pulling a fifth-wheel trailer had gone into the ditch and rolled on I-90 west of Adrian. Driver Gary Larson, 66, of Radcliffe, Iowa, was treated and released. Passengers Daniel Hornung, 16, and Troy Hornung, 38, both of Hubbard, Iowa, and Matthew Klaffke, 23, of Alden, Iowa, were not injured, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The name of the individual killed in Wednesday night’s fatal rollover has not yet been released pending family notification, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
