Letter: What freedom means to me

Freedom. It feels so good to say that I am free.

Freedom. It feels so good to say that I am free. Freedom means a lot, like if I do not agree with something, I can speak out about what I think about it. I can also choose what religion I want. Nobody can tell me that I have to go to a certain church (except maybe my mom and dad). That means a lot to me.

Another thing is freedom did not just suddenly start. Freedom had to be fought for, just like integration did. A lot of countries have kings and queens still. The kings and queens make your choices. If you speak up for what you believe in, you go to jail. You don’t get to elect your leaders, or you can’t choose what church you want to go to.

Freedom is something a lot of countries do not have. Freedom is special.
