GIRLS' HOCKEY: New Ulm defeats Windom Area

NEW ULM — Sara Luhmann scored two goals, and Lisa Johnson had a goal and two assists Thursday to lead Windom Area’s girls’ hockey team in a 10-3 loss to New Ulm.

NEW ULM — Sara Luhmann scored two goals, and Lisa Johnson had a goal and two assists Thursday to lead Windom Area’s girls’ hockey team in a 10-3 loss to New Ulm.

The loss extended the Eagles’ winless streak to a season-high four games.

New Ulm outshot Windom Area 43-12 through two periods but held just a two-goal lead before exploding for six third-period goals.

Alizabeth Goldie added two assists, and Brooklyn Drahota recorded 56 saves for the Eagles (11-10-1), who will travel to face Waseca on Monday.
