The Patriots went 20-for-35 from the free-throw line in the game. The Dragons, who committed 20 turnovers on the night, went 9-for-12 from the charity stripe, including 3-for-3 in the second half.
Halden Van Wyhe scored a game-high 29 points, and Terence Reid and Heath Van Wyhe each added 13 for H-BC, which snapped the Dragons’ 11-game winning streak and handed them just their second Red Rock Conference loss. Andrew Scholten added 10 points and six rebounds.
Brian Tjepkes had 23 points and six assists, and Kyle Kilgore had 12 points and seven rebounds for Adrian, which led 43-37 at halftime.
Reid had seven rebounds and three steals, and Scholten added six rebounds for H-BC (15-4, 9-3), which will travel to face Ellsworth on Monday.
Danny Parsley added 12 points, and Justin Weidert and Nate Reyne each had 10 for Adrian (14-3, 10-2), which will host Fulda on Monday.

EDGERTON — Casey Schilling had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven steals, and Tom Nolte had 13 points, nine rebounds and five steals to lead Ellsworth past Southwest Christian.
Matt Buntjer added nine points and five rebounds for the Panthers, who extended their winning streak to 14 games. Dalton Huisman added nine points, Trevor Gruis had eight points, and Adam Van Der Stoep finished with seven points and five assists.
Corey Vis scored eight points to lead the Eagles, who trailed 28-21 at halftime.
Ellsworth (17-2, 11-0) will travel to face Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin on Saturday.
