Parents of the couple are Sonya and Brian Duis, Ocheyedan, Iowa, and Calvin Ackerman, Primghar, Iowa, and James and Ardella Reitmeier, Brewster.

Ackerman is a 2002 graduate of Sibley-Ocheyedan High School, Sibley, Iowa. She is employed at Country View Manor, Sibley.

Reitmeier is a 2000 graduate of Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. He is employed by Reitmeier Masonry.

They plan a March 21 wedding in Sibley.
