Obituary: Arvin Loosbrock

Arvin Loosbrock, 71 of St. Kilian, passed away Thursday at Worthington Regional Hospital.

Visitation is 2-6 pm Sunday at St. Kilian Catholic Church with a Rosary at 2 pm and prayer service at 5:30 pm. The funeral mass will be 10:30 am Monday at St. Kilian Church.

Arvin was born October 4, 1937 at Adrian, the son of Alvin and LeNora (Pick) Loosbrock. He graduated from Adrian High School, attended Worthington Junior College and later graduated from Mankato State University.

He was united in marriage to Pat Getzel on June 26, 1965 in Fulda, MN. They lived in Minneapolis for a while where Arvin worked for an insurance company and then moved to Worthington. Arvin was employed with Minnesota Job Service office in Worthington for twenty-five years, retiring in 1996. He has lived at St. Kilian since 1970. He also worked as a County Township Property Assessor for over twenty years.

Arvin loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards, gardening and working on his lawn. He was an avid sports fan and followed the local high school teams, the Minnesota Gophers as well as the Vikings and Twins.

Grateful for having shared in her life is his wife, Pat; three children and their spouses, Jenny and Mark Wibbens of Worthington, Kris and Gerald Wolf of Spring Valley, MN, Chad and Michelle Loosbrock of Adrian; seven grandchildren, Tanner, Allie, Jensen, Nate, Julius, Taylor and Reese; and his brother and sister-in-law, Ivo and Fran Loosbrock of Wilmont. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glen.
