Benefit slated for Saturday for injured deputy

FARGO – A benefit to raise funds for Mahnomen County (Minn.) Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Dewey is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday at Teamsters Lounge in Fargo, 21 18th St. S.
Carmen the Cactus will play from 8 p.m. to midnight. A $5 minimum donation is suggested, according to the lounge.
Dewey was shot in the head and abdomen on Feb. 18 while on duty. He is scheduled to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility in Denver in the next few days.
