WORTHINGTON — Three businesses in downtown Worthington were burglarized sometime after 10 p.m. on Monday, according to Det. Sgt. Kevin Flynn of the Worthington Police Department.

“We have reason to believe the cases are connected,” Flynn stated Wednesday. “And that there were multiple people involved.”

In each business, entry was gained and property taken.

At Karl’s TV & Appliance, retail merchandise was stolen; at Panda House, money was taken; at El Tio Nacho, property that belonged to the business was removed from the premises.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have noticed activity in the vicinity of those businesses in the late night hours Monday or early Tuesday morning to call the law enforcement center, 372-2136.

“We also want this to heighten people’s awareness,” Flynn added, “review the lighting and security features at their businesses.”

The burglaries remain under investigation.
