WINDOM — The Windom Municipal Airport will receive more than $1.1 million to rehabilitate its runway as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
“I am pleased that we’re able to invest in local infrastructure, produce jobs and that some of this money is coming to southwestern Minnesota,” said Rep. Rod Hamilton, (R- Mountain Lake).
“Rural airports help to drive the economy in southern Minnesota,” said Sen. Jim Vickerman (DFL-Tracy). “This funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is welcome news that promises to create badly needed construction jobs in our area and long term economic development opportunities.”
