Brief: Area students place at state speech tourney

ST. PETER — Two southwest Minnesota students placed first in their categories at Saturday’s 2009 State Speech Tournament at Gustavus Adolfus College in St. Peter.
In the Section A competition, Adrian High School’s Chris Reisdorfer took home first place in Extemporaneous Speaking and Windom Area High School’s Brady Ysker-Giefer was awarded first place in Serious Interpretation of Po-etry.
