Brief: Governor orders flags lowered
DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Chet Culver has ordered that all flags in the state be flown at half staff from 8 a.m. until sunset today in honor of Cpl. Jason Pautsch, 20, who died April 10 while serving in Iraq.
DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Chet Culver has ordered that all flags in the state be flown at half staff from 8 a.m. until sunset today in honor of Cpl. Jason Pautsch, 20, who died April 10 while serving in Iraq.
Pautsch, a squadron leader in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, was among five Americans killed last week in an attack on police headquarters near Mosul in northern Iraq.
Funeral services will be today.
