Brief: 4-H offers youth Summer camps

WORTHINGTON —Youths in third through eighth grade, either 4-H or non-4-H members, can attend one of the three camps sponsored by the University of Minnesota 4-H Youth Development program.

WORTHINGTON —Youths in third through eighth grade, either 4-H or non-4-H members, can attend one of the three camps sponsored by the University of Minnesota 4-H Youth Development program.

“Go Wild at 4-H Camp” for third- through sixth- graders is at Shetek Lutheran Ministries north of Slayton. Third- and fourth-graders attend camp June 22-24; fifth- and sixth-graders attend June 24-26.

Teen Camp for seventh- and eighth-graders is June 17-18 at Lake Shetek State Park.

Educational and recreational sessions will focus on nature from entomology to wild games, outdoor cooking and outdoor art work. There will be singing for supper, sand volleyball and water-drenching Olympic games.

Registration deadline for Teen Camp is May 15. Third through sixth grade camp registration deadline is June 1.
