Amy Hassebroek received the Nursing Excellence Award and Chelsey Fricke the Nursing Fish Philosophy Award during the National Nurses Week celebration Thursday afternoon at Sanford Regional Hospital Worthington. Criteria for the Nursing Excellence Award are: clinical excellence, role modeling/mentoring, collaborative practice/teamwork, teaching and listening skills and kindness and caring. The Fish Philosophy Award is presented to a nurse who understands that play is important and seeks to make life and work fun. (Brian Korthals/Daily Globe)
