Avera Worthington Specialty Clinics is sponsoring a Community Weight Loss Challenge that began last month night in the clinic. What a tremendous response! The clinic has gone above and beyond to challenge us to make decisions for better health including modification of our eating habits and fitness activities. This is an outstanding community service project.
Putting an event of this magnitude together is no small task. The time and energy to plan and coordinate the staff to take weights, heights, blood pressure, BMI and — what a bonus — they even offered blood work to help participants monitor cholesterol and glucose levels. I just want to say a big thanks to the clinic staff. Despite a record turnout that was overwhelming to participants, I never heard anything but encouragement and positive comments from the staff.
Way to go Worthington Speciality Clinic!
