Letter: Does pro-life mean pro-murder?

We were warned. A recent Homeland Security Report specifically named people in opposition to Roe vs, Wade could carry out terroristic acts within the United States. This immediately brought an outcry from Republicans in Congress. Now, the reality of that report has horribly come true in the cold-blooded murder of Dr. George Tiller.
Years ago, I wrote several letters to this very paper concerning the radical acts of Randall Terry, leader of the group, Operation Rescue. I compared him to our original homegrown terrorist, the murderous John Brown. I stand by that claim today.
Randall Terry, in his comments on this act of terror, proves himself to be as dangerous and deranged as John Brown at Harper’s Ferry.
Operation Rescue hails pro-life murders as heroes who act out their hate-speech and so, too, do many others. Words have their consequences. Dr. Tiller was so often demonized on Fox News; they also bear culpability. We see the consequences with this most heinous crime, carried out during a Sunday morning service.
Is this what would Jesus do? The shame of it all — how can anyone that considers such inciting rhetoric rendered into reality claim to be “Christian” is beyond my comprehension. These cruel acts against our fellow Americans are despicable and should be condemned by everyone.
There is no business of any organization or person calling for such criminality. I urge all to step away from those who preach it. Think of what they are saying. Think of what kind of person it makes one to accept this hate-speech.
Such talk is evil, and nothing good comes from evil.
