Abby Schmidt and Jacob Ruppert, both of Blue Earth, announce their engagement.
Parents of the couple are Gary and Barb Schmidt and Mel and Lois Ruppert, all of Worthington.
Schmidt is a graduate of Iowa Lakes Community College with a degree in business administration. She is employed at Bank Midwest, Fairmont.
Ruppert is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement. He is employed as a deputy in the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
They plan an Aug. 29 wedding.
