2010 County Budget Cut Ideas

  • Sell off county parks ($100,000)

  • Build revenue streams by providing additional county services via web applications

  • Online permits ($7,500)

  • Reduce work week for all employees to 36 - 37.5 hours per week. 36 hours/$160,000 37.5 hours/$100,000

  • Combine Public Health with Family Services $75,000

  • Reduce appropriations to outside entities (Fair...) / No Longer fund appropriations (Fair, E/D, Arts, Historical...) 10%=$8,602

  • Each employee takes 1 Day furlough / no-pay each month (2 people) $125,000
