Sam Rosenkranz, 36, of Hartford, died Monday, July 27, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Sam Rosenkranz, 36, of Hartford, died Monday, July 27, 2009 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born August 19, 1972, in Windom, MN, the son of James and Mary (Verchota) Rosenkranz. He spent his early childhood in the Bingham Lake and Windom area. He moved to Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School in 1991. He worked as a cook at the FryN’Pan and the Original Pancake House. For a short time he worked at the Country Kitchen in Redwood Falls and Jonticraft in Wabasso, MN, as an assembler. He was an avid sports and music fan.
Survivors include his mother, Mary, Hartford, SD; father, James (Sue), Bingham Lake; twin sister, Abigail Rosenkranz, Palmyra, N.Y.; two brothers, James "Crunch" (Kim), Lakefield, and John, Bingham Lake; a stepbrother, Jerry Myers, Windom; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. A memorial service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at the American Lutheran Church, Windom, MN. His online obituary and register book can be viewed at www.heritagesfsd.com.
