Brief: Flower Power winners selected

WORTHINGTON — Fermin and Rosanne Goebel of 1977 Bay St. were awarded the Flower Power Yard of the Week designation for the week of Aug. 2-8.

The VFW, located at 1117 Second Ave., was given the Flower Power Business of the Month award.

The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, through the Community Improvement Committee, chooses a residential yard each week and two businesses per month to receive Flower Power honors.

Anyone may nominate a residence or business as a candidate for the awards, given to landscape or garden projects that enhance the physical attractiveness of the property.

Nominations may be made by calling the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce office at (507) 372-2919.
