Polar explorer Steger to speak to teachers today about climate change

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Polar explorer and environmental advocate Will Steger will have his eyes on the international climate change negotiations set for December in Denmark.

On Wednesday, Steger will speak to teachers attending an institute focused on the upcoming negotiations as well as how to best educate students about climate change. It's being organized by Steger's foundation and the University of Minnesota Institute on the Environment.

The institute organizers will also present a new curriculum designed to help high school students learn about international climate change solutions.

Steger has led polar expeditions to document signs of global warming and set up a foundation to help educate people about it.
