Brief: Local businesses close for Labor Day

WORTHINGTON — Many local businesses will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

City, county, state and federal offices in Worthington will be closed all day Monday. The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce office also will be closed.

The Worthington post office will be closed Monday; there will be no mail delivery.

Local financial institutions also will be closed.

Hy-Vee Food Store will maintain its normal business hours. Worthington garbage pickup and recycling routes scheduled for Monday will take place Tuesday.

The Daily Globe office will be closed Monday, and the newspaper will not publish. Publication and normal business hours will resume Tuesday.
