Letter: New justice should protect individual rights

Our new Supreme Court justice is a very wise person. She may soon help make one of the most important decisions in her life. When do we stop protecting the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Is it at the age of 102? When do we begin to protect these rights? The lower courts arbitrarily make these decisions, and individuals’ rights are often stepped on. The answer is simple — do what is right — that is not so simple.
It is much the same with the CIA and the FBI. Force them to talk or persuade them to talk. There is a difference. Who makes these rules we are supposed to live by? Does He know what He is asking? Amen.
