MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Health officials say Minnesota got 9,300 doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine subject to a voluntary national recall.

Immunization chief Kris Ehresmann says the doses were sent to 25 providers in the state in early- to-mid-November.

Because the doses were sent several weeks ago, Ehresmann says it's presumed most have already been given. Those that haven't been will be sent back to the manufacturer.

Ehresmann says the Health Department is contacting the providers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified doctors about the recall of 800,000 doses intended for young children on Tuesday. Tests showed the vaccine had lost some of its strength.

But Ehresmann says children don't need to be re-vaccinated and there's no safety issue.
