READING — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a car in a ditch at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday on Nobles County 25. The vehicle was towed.

ELLSWORTH — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a car-deer collision at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Birkett Avenue and Nobles County 19.

BIGELOW — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a report of a minivan in a ditch at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday on Minnesota 60. The people in the van arranged for a tow.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a theft at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday at Wal-Mart.

SIBLEY, Iowa — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lonnie Dean Matthiesen of Sibley, 39, for assault, a simple misdemeanor, at 12:30 a.m. Friday. He is being held on a $300 bond.
