LAMBERTON — Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin escaped Red Rock Central with a 52-48 victory Thursday night in a Red Rock Conference boys’ basketball contest.
RRC had the lead cut to two points with a minute left, but ML/B-O sank its free throws down the stretch.
Beau Herrig led the Wolverines with a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds).
For the Falcons, Jake Fredrickson netted 15 points, and Aaron Furth scored nine.
RRC (0-8, 0-5) hosts Wabasso on Saturday, while ML/B-O (5-5, 2-2) plays today at home against conference foe Westbrook-Walnut Grove.

Adrian 74, Fulda 62
ADRIAN — Nate Reyne (20 points, five assists) and Kyle Kilgore (18 points, 10 rebounds) led Adrian past Fulda in a Red Rock Conference matchup.
Brendan Kopplow added 16 points and five assists for the Dragons (7-4, 3-2).
Fulda (3-5, 1-4) was led by Devin Kuehne’s 20 points. Nate Fremstad had 14 points, and Aaron Tiesler had 10.
Adrian hosts Windom on Monday, while the Raiders will play at home against Edgerton the following day.

ROUND LAKE — Jameson Collin poured in 27 points, pulled down 15 rebounds and swatted six shots, carrying Southwest Star Concept to a Red Rock Conference win over Round Lake-Brewster.
Brady Hall added eight points, and Octavio Jimenez dished out four assists for the Quasars (4-5, 1-3).
RL-B (4-6, 2-3) was led by Jake Walker, who scored 12 points.
SSC faces Canby on Saturday in Marshall, and the Raiders will travel to Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday.

SWC 81, Edgerton 65
EDGERTON — Trailing by five points at halftime, Southwest Christian scored half a hundred in the second half to top Edgerton.
Five players scored in double figures for the Eagles: Corey Vis (16 points, five assists), Derek Tinklenberg (16 points), Spencer Mesman (14 points), Travis Vander Woude (12 points, five assists, four steals) and Zach Huisken, who notched a triple-double (14 points, 10 rebounds, 10 blocks).
Alex Heard led Edgerton with 20 points, Chace Hulstein added 15 points, and Codi Gunnink tallied 11 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for the Flying Dutchmen.
SWC (6-2, 3-1) will face Pipestone Area on Saturday, and Edgerton (2-6, 1-5) goes to Fulda Tuesday.

SLAYTON — Mason Comnick scored 21 points to help Westbrook-Walnut Grove top Murray County Central in a Red Rock Conference clash.
Also for the Chargers, Jon LeBoutillier and Patrick Schweim each had 11 points.
MCC, meanwhile, was led by Kyle Lewis’s 12 points. Nate Wieneke and Alex Peterson both scored 11.
Both teams play Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin next: W-WG (5-3, 3-0) plays there tonight, and MCC (4-5, 3-1) travels to play the Wolverines on Tuesday.

MINNEOTA — The game was tied at 41 with five minutes left, but Tracy-Milroy -Balaton didn’t quite have enough left in the tank to overcome Minneota.
The loss was the first of the season for T-M-B (8-1).
The Panthers were led by Joe Hook (15 points), Dominic Dolan (13 points, four assists) and Josh Soupir (12 points, five rebounds).
T-M-B will travel to Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Tuesday.
