LUVERNE — With a strong score on all four rotations, Luverne defeated Pipestone Area Friday night in a gymnastics meet.
The Cardinals scored 130 points, while the Arrows finished with 124.025 points.
PA’s Londyn Swenson finished with 32.975 to win the all-around, while teammate Amber Haupert (32.8) was second.
Luverne’s Krista VanDyk was third with a 32.150.
Swenson finished first on the vault with a 9.025, while Luverne’s Gretchen Nowatzki was second with a 9.0. Haupert was third with an 8.950.
On the bars, PA’s Shanda Bogstad finished with an 8.450 to claim first, while Luverne’s Britton Dyer was second with an 8.225. Cardinal Kaitlin Vanmeeterer was third with an 8.0.
On the beam, Luverne’s Jackie Broomfield had the top score with an 8.2, while VanDyk was second with a 7.9, PA’s Maggie Perkins was third with a 7.8.
Nowatzki’s 8.6 was good enough to earn her first place on the floor, while Haupert was second with an 8.55. Broomfield was third with an 8.525.
Luverne will be at the Martin County West tournament today.
