JACKSON — Competing in an eight-team gymnastics invitational on Saturday, Jackson County Central scored 137.025 points as a team, claiming fifth in its own meet.
Worthington finished with 124.2 points.
Eagan won the meet with a score of 145.25.
“We went out, we had a good time, we performed a lot better than last year and we had some people step up in big spots to help us,” WHS head coach Joni Reitmeier said.
Taylor Erwin scored a 9.0 on the floor, 8.475 on bars, 8.425 on the vault and 7.5 on the beam to lead the Trojans.
Tara Svalland scored an 8.2 on the bars, while Anna Koepsell scored a 7.95 on the floor and a 7.65 on the beam.
Worthington will host Luverne on Friday. It will be “Meet the Trojans” and parent’s night on Friday for Worthington.
