Lakefield woman killed on Interstate 90

LAKEFIELD - Margaret Salzwedel, 47, of Lakefield, former member of Jackson Police Department, was killed Monday in a collision on Interstate 90, just west of the Lakefield exit.
Adam Kleinsasser, 23, of Faulkton, S.D., was driving a 1995 Peterbuilt semi in the right lane heading westbound behind another semi truck. Salzwedel, driving a 2005 Jeep GCK, was also westbound in the right lane, in front of both semis. The semi behind Salzwedel and in front of Kleinsasser went into the left lane and passed Salzwedel, creating a snowcloud. The front end of Kleinsasser's semi collided with the rear of Salzwedel's Jeep, which went into the median and turned over one time.
Salzwedel was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Kleinsasser received no apparent injuries.
