WORTHINGTON — The deadline for Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council (SMAHC) Arts & Learning Grants is April 1. The earliest project start date for these projects is June 1 or after.
The Arts & Learning grant program is open to schools, communities and non-profit organizations in the 18 counties of southwest Minnesota served by SMAHC. This program provides matching grants to schools, organizations and communities for artist residencies and field trips.
Applicants may apply for up to $2,500 for artist residencies, up to $750 for pre-packaged theatre residencies and up to $600 for field trips. Each school or organization is limited to $2,500 in Arts in Learning grant funds per year. The required cash match from schools and organizations has been reduced to 10 percent. The guidelines and application form can be viewed and downloaded from the SMAHC Web site, www.smahc.org.
SMAHC provides financial and technical assistance to non-profit organizations and schools interested in sponsoring or producing arts activities, as well as offering grants to individual artists.
