Members of “theatreworks USA” of New York City presented the story of Harriet “Moses” Tubman in the play “Freedom Train” for area students Thursday at the Memorial Auditorium and Performing Arts Center in Worthington.

Freedom Train

Members of “theatreworks USA” of New York City presented the story of Harriet “Moses” Tubman in the play “Freedom Train” for area students Thursday at the Memorial Auditorium and Performing Arts Center in Worthington. Born into slavery in the early 1820s, Tubman was a conductor on the Underground Railroad, Civil War spy and civil rights activist throughout her lifetime. The performance was sponsored by the Nobles County Integration Collaborative.
