JACKSON — The roof of the cart shed at Jackson Golf Course was removed Tuesday and Wednesday after its collapse last month under the weight of the season’s heavy snowfall.

“The building is a total loss, and most of the carts in there are probably going to be salvageable, the way it looks,” said Jim Konda, member of the board of directors for the golf course. “A lot of (cart) tops will need to be replaced, but other than that, it looks like it should be all right.”

The roof collapse was discovered Feb. 15 during a meeting of the board of directors. Insurance will cover the approximately $25,000 cost of building a new shed.
