WORTHINGTON — The deadline for Southwest Minnesota Arts & Humanities Council’s (SMAHC) Arts Challenge Grant Program (Round 3) is April 1 (postmarked).
SMAHC developed the Arts Challenge Grant Program to help local arts organizations develop self-sufficiency by increasing local support. Arts organizations that have a planned fundraising drive or campaign set to begin on or after May 1 can apply for a SMAHC Challenge Grant this round.
SMAHC will match dollar for dollar each new membership, each dollar increase in an existing membership, and/or each new season ticket holder, up to $500. Funds will be allocated until the entire amount of this program has been exhausted. Funding for this program is provided by the McKnight Foundation.
SMAHC is the designated regional arts council for 18 southwest Minnesota counties. The organization provides financial and technical assistance to non-profit organizations and schools interested in sponsoring or producing arts activities. SMAHC also offers grants to individual artists.
