Letter: Thank you to Rep. Stupak

Pope John Paul II, writing on social concerns in 1987, states, “What Christianity forbids is to seek solutions by way of hatred, the murdering of defenseless people and by methods of terrorism.”

I am a pro-life Catholic. Pope John Paul II, writing on social concerns in 1987, states, “What Christianity forbids is to seek solutions by way of hatred, the murdering of defenseless people and by methods of terrorism.” He also states that medical care is a right of all along with food and shelter.

Seek truth and it will set you free. Please read the Hyde Amendment. (Google: What is the Hyde Amendment.) This amendment is the law. The health care bill was never meant to change it. It states, “No federal monies shall be used to pay for abortions.” Opponents to the health care bill sought a way around the Hyde Amendment rather than obey it.

Thanks, Congressman Stupak, for standing up for truth. Health care for all is surely a pro-life stance.

Let’s get the political nonsense and follow what Jesus taught: Love your neighbor as yourself.
