Letter: Health care reform was needed

I think it is great that health care finally passed. We have had too many folks using the emergency room as their family doctor for years.

I think it is great that health care finally passed. We have had too many folks using the emergency room as their family doctor for years.

My insurance rates more then doubled when I turned 65. Half my pension goes for family coverage after Medicare. I called my insurance company, senators and congressperson about this when it happened. Blue Cross went from primary to secondary, which means their liability went down and the rate doubled. What is the story here?
