NUMBER OF YEARS IN CURRENT POSITION: Five months
REASON FOR GOING INTO MINISTRY: From the time I became a Christian, I felt called to dedicate my life to ministry. When I was in my early 20s, I felt a nudge from God to make ministry a vocational pursuit as well.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in religion and theology from Taylor University College, Edmonton, Alberta; master of divinity degree with an intercultural ministries concentration from Taylor Seminary, Edmonton.
FAMILY: wife, Jessica; two daughters, Elianna and Abigail.
PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY: One of the lenses through which I view ministry is to “Love the Lord your God with all your head, with all your heart and with all your hands (my paraphrase of Mark 12:30)” and to teach others I lead to do the same.
PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS: Reading, social justice, preaching and teaching, missions.
PERSONAL INTERESTS: Running, traveling, reading and almost anything outdoors.
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE: Micah 6:8: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
